Get away from your routine, and immerse yourself in the Forrest Yoga Practice at Lotus Ranch in Texas. Imagine yourself waking up to marvel at the sunrise (or sleep in!) and enjoying a light, fresh breakfast. Delight in a daily morning Forrest Yoga Intensive, which includes an hour of ceremony and meditation followed by a sweaty, energizing 2-hour yoga practice. Afterwards, connect with friends over a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you’re free to do whatever you want – read a book, take a nap, explore the trails on the Lotus Ranch land. Apply the beauty of what you learn in the Forrest intensives to the rest of your day – that is your Practice. Return to Lotus Ranch in time for a warm home-cooked dinner in community. Then witness the beautiful sunset to gaze at the stars before you fall asleep.
ABOUT LOTUS RANCH
LOTUS RANCH is located on 40 enchanting acres, just west of Wimberley, Texas. With low-EMF lodging, you are allowed to feel a chance of being free of modern technology. This is a healing property, known as “A Little Bit of Heaven” – Wimberley is just 15 miles west of San Marcos, off I-35 halfway between Austin and San Antonio, in the Heart of the Texas Hill Country. An easy drive 45 minutes from the Austin or San Antonio airports. For Houstonians, just a short 2.5-3 hour drive.
The facility is often used for yoga, meditation, art and spiritual retreats. Lotus Ranch enjoys sharing their peaceful location, designed for low-EMF exposure and fresh air. Notice the difference of being away from the city, clear views of treetops, low wireless internet exposure (except for access in the hall lounge where there is wifi) and enjoy the natural setting preserving the nature around you! Where is Lotus Ranch? How do I get there?
The nearest airports are the Austin or San Antonio airports, 45-minute drive from each airport. Address is 525 Fischer Trail, Wimberley, Texas 78676.
Where will I be sleeping? What are accommodations like?
You will be staying in a shared room with 1-3 people. Shared bathrooms.
Is there on-site laundry?
On-site laundry is only available to people who are living at Lotus Ranch for the entire time from June 4th through June 26th. It isn’t available to 3-day or 4-day weekenders.
When should I arrive and leave? What’s the schedule?
Check-in is no earlier than 4pm on arrival day. Dinner will be served on arrival day. Check-out is no later than 1pm on departure day. Breakfast and lunch will be served on departure day.
What is the yoga schedule?
The following yoga classes are covered in the residential price-
Daily Morning Intensives taught by Heidi/Cat: 8:30-11:30am
Intro to Forrest Yoga Workshops taught by teacher trainees (only June 13-14 and June 20-21): 2:00-4:00pm
If you’re attending the entire retreat, morning intensives are June 5-June 26.
If you’re attending Thursday through Sunday (4 days), morning intensives are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
If you’re attending Friday through Sunday (3 days), morning intensives are Saturday and Sunday.
Can I get CE credits with Yoga Alliance?
Yes, you can.
What is the meal schedule?
The following meals are covered in the residential price-
All 3 meals per day except for arrival and departure day. Dinner will be served around 6:30 pm on arrival day. Breakfast and lunch will be served on departure day.
What does the price cover?
The price covers morning ceremony and intensives, the Intro to Forrest Yoga workshops (June 13-14 or June 20-21), lodging, amenities, all meals.
It doesn’t cover travel costs, laundry, an extra night’s stay, excursions, locale visits, ground transportation.
Is there wifi and cell phone service?
AT&T seems to work the best. All other carriers are spotty. There is free wifi for internet browsing and checking email and phone calling, not heavy downloads or streaming.
Can I stay off-site and attend morning intensives only?
Yes you can! This is considered “non-residential.” Morning intensives are $45 each.
Can I get a refund or a credit if I need to cancel?
No refunds or credits, no exceptions.
I have a roommate preference. Can I choose my roommates?

PAYMENT, REFUND, & CANCELLATION POLICIES
- Early Bird Deadline is April 1, 2020 or when spots sell out, whichever comes first.
- Refunds: NO refunds, credits or transfers for cancellation for residential and non-residential packages or single intensives. No exceptions.
- Accommodations Changes: If you switch to another accommodation type, there will be a $100 admin fee applied to your balance or deducted from your credit.
