Style and Philosophy:
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery are rich and intense experiences. The yoga practices are designed to help people 1) balance and align the body and emotions, 2) skillfully soften and relax within intensity, and 3) increase stamina and endurance for the realities of childbirth, labor, and postpartum recovery. The pranayama and asana practices meet you where you’re at and accommodate your needs during pregnancy and post-birth, whether you need a slow/gentle practice or moderate to more athletic practice. This style of yoga is Forrest-inspired and incorporates core exercises designed for supporting prenatal and postnatal people.

The Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training is offered as a 3-day and a 9-day training. The 3-day is Part 1 that can be taken as a standalone training. The 9-day consists of Part 1 and Part 2 for those who would like a more comprehensive training and become a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT) status with Yoga Alliance. Each training provides yoga teachers its own comprehensive manual, daily meditation and breathwork exercises, prenatal and postnatal yoga classes, hands-on assists workshops, and the information and tools for skillfully supporting women through pregnancy and postpartum. The 9-day training also include teaching practicum, feedback on teaching, sequencing exercises, and special training modules on pelvic anatomy/physiology and energetics of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. The 9-day is followed by 10 non-contact hours of coursework.
About the Teacher:
Catherine Allen created this Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training after encountering an abundance of fear-based misinformation and limited support for the challenges she faced during her pregnancies, pregnancy loss, childbirth, and postpartum depression. Cat has taught countless pregnant and postpartum students throughout her 18-year teaching career and has learned immensely from birth professionals and experts. She weaves together all the collected wisdom from her personal and professional experiences to bring to you the most up-to-date information for teaching your pregnant and postpartum students.

Bridget strives to provide a sanctuary for students to explore their emotional, energetic and physical landscapes through breath, movement and energetic processes including soul retrieval and destiny retrieval. Bridget teaches “Energetics for Conception, Pregnancy, Labor and Delivery and Postpartum” (1-Day Course) in the 9-Day Training.
Ellen Heed has been educating students and clients about how to attain radiant health worldwide since the turn of the millennia. Using keen perceptual skills to accurately assess the needs of her clients, Ellen connects the dots and facilitates successful outcomes for health issues ranging from chronic pain and sexual dysfunction to emotional stagnation and nutritional imbalances. Ellen has pioneered new techniques for scar tissue remediation for women, and is a leading anatomy educator who trains yoga teachers, Sexological Bodyworkers, and other somatic professionals in the US and abroad. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Somatic Psychology and maintains a thriving practice in Los Angeles, California.
