OVERVIEW
For the first time ever, the 200-Hour Forrest Yoga® Foundation Teacher Training (FYFTT) will be offered 100% online. Taught by Heidi Sormaz and Catherine Allen.
The FYFTT is a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Registered School. It is a comprehensive program for aspiring teachers, experienced teachers or yoga students who want to work deeper within themselves. This 23-day live training includes a 22-day training plus 1-day business course. You will be responsible for completing an additional 20-hour online anatomy course taught by Ellen Heed for a separate fee. Upon successful completion of the FYFTT and the anatomy course, you can be a Certified Forrest Yoga Teacher and be qualified to register as 200-RYT with Yoga Alliance.

What are the training hours?
The training will still take place on June 5-27. Full attendance during the training hours is expected for certification. Daily schedule:
Morning intensives every morning 8:00-11:00am (CST, Texas time)
Afternoon sessions 1:00-5:30pm on weekdays, 1:00-6:00pm (CST, Texas time) on weekends
What are the technical requirements?
Stable internet connection and device for live video streaming via Zoom.
What are the space requirements?
A quiet and private space where you can do yoga and focus on the training.
Will I be Certified to teach Forrest Yoga?
Upon successful completion of the training and the additional 20-hour Anatomy Course and upon evaluation of your participation, you will be a Certified Forrest Yoga Teacher! Successful completion will also qualify you for registration as a Yoga Alliance 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
What does tuition cover?
Early Bird if paid if full by May 15: $1900
After May 15: $2900
Tuition covers the 22-day training plus 1-day business course, all manuals, all morning ceremony and intensives, all afternoon training sessions.
It doesn’t cover the Anatomy Course (required for certification). The estimated cost for the Anatomy Course is $375. You can choose to take the Anatomy Course online or in-person with Ellen Heed.
Can I get a refund or a credit if I need to cancel?
The Forrest Yoga Organization’s policy is no refunds, no credits, no exceptions.
What is the application process?
Once you pay, you will receive an email containing a link to the application (check your spam folder). If you cannot fill out the application at that time, then bookmark the page for later. If you aren’t accepted into the training, then you will be refunded in full.
What props are required?
Yoga Props: Have a yoga block, yoga mat, beach towel (or 2nd yoga mat), and strap. Hygiene: Neti pot and salt. Note-taking: Pen and notebook.

- Tuition covers 22-day in-person training, 1-day in-person business course, manuals, training curriculum.
- Tuition doesn’t include the 20-hour Functional Anatomy Course taught by Ellen Heed. You can either take this course online or in-person for a separate fee (estimate: $375). You are responsible for completing this requirement to receive your Forrest Yoga Certification.
- Attendance requirements for certification: Can’t miss more than 15 minutes of training on any given day. Can’t miss more than 2 morning intensives. You can make-up up to two morning intensives through video recordings of the classes. Must be present for at least 90% of the entire online training during training hours. You can miss up to 10% for emergencies, but you must make up the missed hours by watching video recording or completing an assignment. If the segment that you missed can only be made up via private live session with Cat or Heidi, then there is a make-up fee of $150 per missed hour.
