Program Overview:
This year’s residential FYMP, May 23-29, 2017, will take place at the beautiful Soma Ranch retreat center. The all-inclusive tuition covers your 7-day lodging, all meals, amenities, training curriculum, instruction, and 4 bridge calls. Co-taught by Forrest Yoga Mentor Guardians Ann Hyde and Cat Allen.
The FYMP comprises of a week-long immersion that includes daily continuing education workshops/classes and teaching practicum w/feedback followed by 4 bridge calls over a 4-month period. Throughout this program, you will get to hone your teaching and hands-on assisting skills, to become more skilled at working with injuries, to ask your questions about teaching Forrest Yoga®, and to get guidance with your Level 2 certification homework (if you’re not already Level 2 certified). The FYMP is undeniably a powerful continuum of the great work and deep processes you started in the Foundation Teacher Training.

About the Retreat Center:
Soma Ranch is your home away from home! It has all the amenities that you would need for a comfortable stay. In your free time, you have the opportunity to relax in the therapeutic mineral spa, enjoy the infrared sauna, swim in the lap pool, explore the beautiful land, connect with the rescued donkeys and horses, or simply relax in any of the spacious lounge areas in the ranch house. Every meal – healthy, delicious, gluten-free – is freshly prepared by the on-site chef.

When is check-in and check-out?

You must attend the FYMP 100% in order to: 1) successfully complete the FYMP, 2) receive your Certificate of Completion, 3) partially satisfy Level 3 Certification Requirements.
Can I register these hours with Yoga Alliance?
Once you successfully complete the Forrest Yoga Mentorship Program, you can submit your hours to Yoga Alliance USA for continuing education credits.
How long is the FYMP with Ann and Cat?
The FYMP with Ann and Cat is a 5-month program. It comprises of a week-long immersion (May 23-29, 2017) followed by 4 months of bridge calls (one bridge call per month). Bridge Call dates to be announced. If you cannot make the call, you will be given a make-up assignment to complete. The Bridge Calls will cover Forrest Yoga teaching and practice topics and allow for time for Q&A with your Mentor Guardians.
How do I drive to Soma Ranch?
From Houston: I-45 North, exit Loop 336, take left at first lights (west on 336), exit FM 2854, go right (west on FM 2854), left on highway 105. Drive through Montgomery town, pass Montgomery High School, take right 1 mile past school onto Pooles Rd, and continue to the very end through the gate onto the ranch.
What airport should I use to fly to Soma Ranch?
Getting to Soma Ranch is quite easy. We recommend that you fly into Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). IAH is about a 60-minute drive to Soma Ranch. Bruce is the private driver who provides excellent personalized transportation between IAH Airport and Soma Ranch. Cost: $65. Fare and ride can be shared between up to 4 passengers. Click here to arrange a ride, and use the VIP discount code “SOMA” (without the quotations). If you fly into Hobby airport – less recommended but will work – we recommend you to rent a car or a shuttle buss to IAH Airport. Allow extra time. It’s possible Bruce could pick you up and Uber is another option worth considering. Journey is about 90 minutes from Hobby to IAH to Soma Ranch.
Do I need to rent a car?
Technically, no. You could use a shuttle, uber, or other service to get you to and from Soma Ranch. During your stay, you’ll have virtually everything you need to live comfortably at the ranch. If you want more freedom to get around, you’re welcome to rent a car.
Can I stay an extra day?
Folks sometimes enjoy an extra day before or after their trainings and retreats to optimize their experience at Soma Ranch and/or to soak in more of the local surroundings. Hotels near the Airport can be extremely convenient and reasonable. Previous guests have shared enjoyment with “HotWire” bookings. We also have 2 fabulous local options (one super close to Soma Ranch the other near NiaMoves Houston Studio) These local lovely community members provide luxurious, personalized private accommodation with en suite bathroom. Tuition
Residential Tuition is all-inclusive; it covers the entire program curriculum, training and instruction, 7-day lodging, all meals, amenities, and 4 bridge calls. Early Bird deadline is April 20, 2017.
Co-Ed Dorm: $2320 Early Bird / $2400 Regular
Semi-Private Room: $2630 Early Bird / $2700 Regular
Limited non-residential spots are available. Non-residential tuition is $1620 early bird / $1700 regular. This non-residential tuition covers the entire program curriculum, training and instruction, 4 bridge calls, and limited use of Soma Ranch’s amenities. It does NOT cover meals or lodging.
*All tuition rates for residential and non-residential includes a non-refundable $300 deposit.
Cancellation Policy
*30 days prior to retreat: Full refund of monies less paypal fees and $300 non-refundable deposit.
*29-14 days prior to retreat: 50% of monies less paypal fees and $300 non-refundable deposit.
*less than 14 days prior: No refund. No exceptions.
