- Daily Prenatal/Postnatal and Meditation Sessions.
- Tailor poses for various needs and conditions during pregnancy.
- Specific postpartum yoga practices that promote healing and support after childbirth, including vaginal birth, surgical birth, VBAC, and pregnancy loss.
- Use yoga practices to relieve pain, discomfort, anxiety, depression that could accompany pregnancy and postpartum.
- Understand the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum and apply that knowledge to help prenatal and postnatal students.
- Help people connect emotionally, physically, and spiritually with themselves and use those connections to help prepare them for pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
- Hands-On Assists Clinics – learn and practice enhancement, or supportive, or pain-relieving techniques. No one technique works for everyone; adapt techniques that work best for the individual.

Catherine Allen (Level 5 Certified Forrest Yoga Teacher and Mentor, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher, E-RTY-500, Birth & Postpartum Doula, Pre-Certified Spinning Babies Parent Educator, Childbirth Educator) created this Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training after encountering an abundance of fear-based misinformation and limited support for the challenges she faced during her pregnancies, pregnancy loss, childbirth, and postpartum depression. Cat has taught countless pregnant and postpartum students throughout her 18-year teaching career and has learned immensely from birth professionals and experts. She weaves together all the collected wisdom from her personal and professional experiences to bring to you the most up-to-date information for teaching your pregnant and postpartum students. Cat teaches the 3-Day Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Training in the 9-Day Training.
ABOUT THE RETREAT CENTER:
Buckhorn Springs Retreat Center is owned and operated by the Sargent family. For almost three decades the Sargent’s have run this peaceful and rustic retreat center. Buckhorn provides a unique environment nestled in its own small valley. It has a year-round creek, old oaks, tall aromatic cedars and open meadows. Buckhorn Springs is ideal for group gatherings of any size. We host seminars, workshops, yoga retreats, business meetings, religious retreats, reunions, weddings, personal retreats and more.
Owner and Chef, Leslie Sargent is well renowned for her fresh and delicious vegetarian meals. Leslie is also an authored Chef, you can find her recipes, and the history of Buckhorn, in the Buckhorn Springs Heritage Cookbook. Owner, Builder and Operator Bruce Sargent, has spent the past 25 years restoring Buckhorn Springs Retreat Center to it’s historical state.
You have the choice of staying in a private bedroom or shared accommodations (2-4 people; 1 bed per person). Some bathrooms are shared, and some are private. See descriptions in the photo gallery below.

FAQs
When is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is on September 7 at 3pm. The training starts at 5pm on September 7. The training ends at 12:00pm on September 9. Check-out is at 1pm.
I‘ll be late / I’ll have to miss some of the training / I’ll have to leave early
100% attendance is required for a Certificate of Completion. However, this is a baby and parent friendly environment. You are welcome to pump or tend to your baby as often as you need.
Can I register these hours with Yoga Alliance?
Once you successfully complete the training, you can submit your certificate to Yoga Alliance USA for continuing education credits.
What airport do I use? Where is it? How do I get there?
The nearest airport is Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport (MFR). MFR is about 30 miles away from Buckhorn Springs (40-minute drive). You will need to arrange your own ground transportation. Around July 2018, you can connect with fellow trainees via our private Facebook group for car pooling.

What are accommodations like?
You will be staying in the beautiful Lodge or Toft House or individual cabins. You have the option of staying in a private bedroom or shared room (2-4 people; 1 bed per person). Some bathrooms are shared, and some are private.
What are the meals like?
Buckhorn Springs prepares healthful, delicious family-style vegetarian meals each day. The original menus are thoughtfully prepared to utilize complementary proteins combining grains and legumes, with dairy products and eggs. Buckhorn Springs organic produce and other locally grown organic produce are used whenever possible.
Buckhorn Springs caters to the following food preferences: Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten-Free.
There will be eggs at every breakfast and chicken at every lunch. All dinners will be vegetarian.
For those who indicate the above diets or a serious food allergy, separate dishes generally will be prepared. These dishes will be simple, unseasoned legumes, vegetables and grains.
When separate dishes are prepared to accommodate these diets, these dishes will be set aside and clearly labeled.
Snacks are available for an additional charge. Bring cash or your own snacks.
If you have dietary needs, food preferences or mild food sensitivities that differ from a Vegetarian, Vegan or Gluten Free diet, you are welcome to bring any supplemental food that you require to maintain a healthful diet during the retreat. A small refrigerator is available in the dining room for supplemental food storage.

Can I drink or smoke?
No smoking, recreational drugs, or alcohol is allowed on the retreat property during the retreat.
What does residential tuition cover?
Training curriculum, e-manual, all meals (dinner on the first day through breakfast and lunch on the last day), accommodations (private or shared).
Is there a non-residential option?
Yes, there is. If you want to participate in the training but don’t want to stay at Buckridge Springs, then the non-residential tuition is $265 Early Bird or $365 Regular. It covers the training curriculum, digital manual, and includes a non-refundable $150 deposit.
What do I bring?
Bring 2 blocks, a yoga strap, a yoga mat, and a beach towel (or large yoga towel). If you have a bolster, please bring it. You will be putting your bolster to good use.
Is there laundry service?
Buckhorn Springs charges $7.50 per load for on-site laundry service. There is no self-service laundry.
Is there cell phone service?
AT&T is the only cell phone service, which works everywhere. A short walk uphill from the Lodge will result in service for most other carriers.
Is there wifi?
There is complimentary satellite wifi. The service is fine for checking e-mail and limited surfing, however not for downloading large files, streaming, Pandora, etc.
Can I bring my baby and a caregiver?
Yes, you can! The cost for each baby is $13. The cost for each caregiver is $260 for shared accommodations (covers all meals). You must submit the non-refundable $150 deposit to hold your caregiver’s spot.
Can I choose my room and bed?
Accommodations are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once you make full payment, you can request a room and bed. If your room/bed isn’t available, we will do our best to assign you a room and bed that is as similar as possible to what you’re looking for. All room assignments will be finalized and announced by check-in time of the 1st day of the retreat.

**The cost for each Caregiver is $260 for a Shared Room, staying with you or in a separate room (let Cat know). The cost for each baby is $13.**
PAYMENT POLICY:
Early Bird Deadline is July 1, 2018.
To hold your spot, pay the non-refundable $150 deposit PER ADULT/PER CAREGIVER. The non-refundable deposit (includes a $50 admin fee) is applied to your tuition. A non-refundable deposit must be submitted for each caregiver that is attending with your baby; if you cancel your caregiver’s attendance, then the deposit will be applied to your tuition. Spots are limited. This will be a small and intimate training.
The $50 admin fee is waived for anyone who pays full tuition upfront (Early Bird or Regular Price).

If your room/bed isn’t available, you will be assigned you a room and bed that is as similar as possible to your preference. All room assignments will be finalized by check-in time of the 1st day of the retreat.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY (STRICT):
*30 days or more prior to retreat: full refund less paypal fees and $150 non-refundable deposit.
*29 days prior: No refund. No exceptions.
*If you want to switch from residential to non-residential or private to shared, a $50 admin fee will be applied to the balance.
